The Party

For all those people who walked into my life, which once was like a white room with floor as clean as a freshly mopped white marble. Thank you for coming and making my life a party. I loved the DJ, the lights and all the beer pong games. You walked into my life with your dirty shoes, you rubbed your shoe’s sole with my glistening floor, you made yourself clean, you spilled all the beer on my white designer walls, the music was too loud that the sound waves hit my ceiling over and over again, but I loved the party. I know I am not as clean as I used to be but I love your company and so I put up with all the mess you made me. Now that I see the party is over, you are bored, you’ve heard all these same songs for the past many nights, you have been drinking the same cheap beer from those red plastic cups, all those lights doesn’t make you feel alive anymore instead they hurt you, all of this, which used to be fun, now feels like a cage that kept you trapped. You wanted to leave and step out of my life. So I asked you to be grateful enough to tidy me up, so that I can start over again and move on with my life but you never heard me. You walked away like I was nothing to you. I was the one who made you happy, I was the one who taught you to be carefree, I was the one who helped you tackle the pain but what am I left with! The pain, the mourning and a messed up life. Now all I got are the footprints on the floor, the litter all over the room and the cracks that you’ve permanently made by damaging me. Right now I may not be strong to wipe away all my memories of you and clean the mess that you’ve made me. But someday I’ll scrub away all those marks, throw away the litter, fix those cracks, put a neat paint and I will lock the door so that you may never enter and start dumping yourself again.
